Opportunity Project to Host Wellness Day in Millburn

Event to be held on National Brain Injury Awareness Day

On Wednesday, March 18, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Opportunity Project will host a “Healthy Brain, Healthy Me Wellness Day” at the Opportunity Project Clubhouse, 60 East Willow St., Millburn.

The event will take place on National Brain Injury Awareness Day, and is sponsored by Barnabas Health and Newark Beth Israel Medical Center. Admission is $10.

The Wellness Day will feature workshops and discussions to educate the community on the healthy lifestyle habits, such as exercise, stress management and nutrition, that can help stave off cognitive decline and our susceptibility to diseases that affect the brain, according to a release.

The event will feature food tastings, chair massages from Massage Envy Short Hills, and wellness discussions led by local professionals including Barbara Mintz, Vice President of Healthy Living and Community Engagement at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center, Debby Kaminsky of the Newark Yoga Movement, and Rosann Bostonian of the The Health and Wellness Co-Op Millburn/Short Hills.
