Pair Of Macy's Thieves Arrested: Millburn Police
Laurinda Cruz and Helen Cathcart were charged with shoplifting, police said.
MILLBURN, NJ - A 22-year-old woman and an 18-year-old woman from Newark were arrested and charged with shoplifting after an incident with police on May 9.
According to authorities, Millburn Police Officer McMillan responded to Macy's on a theft report where personnel reported 18-year-old Laurinda Cruz concealed $503.98 worth of merchandise in a bag and left the store without making payment and Helen Cathcart, age 22, concealed $213.98 worth of merchandise in a bag and left the store without making payment.
Cathcart was also found to have $137.10 worth of stolen merchandise from Forever 21, police said.

Both individuals were placed under arrest and charged with shoplifting, police said. Cathcart was charged additionally with receiving stolen property, police said.
Both were released on a summons.
