Paper Mill Playhouse Praised For Autism-Friendly Mary Poppins Show (VIDEO)

MILLBURN, NJ — The magic of the theater should be an art form that everyone can enjoy. But sometimes, that means changing to fit the needs of your audience.
StateoftheArtsNJ recently lauded Millburn’s Paper Mill Playhouse for its presentation of Mary Poppins, which included an autism-friendly performance designed specifically for children on the autism spectrum or with other developmental disabilities.

The Millburn theater provided a “sensory-friendly,” comfortable and judgment-free space, and paid special attention to the use of light and sound during the June performance.
