Parsonage Hill Water Main Work To Affect Millburn Traffic
Expect loose gravel and roadway patches on Parsonage Hill Road until at least spring, Millburn.

MILLBURN, NJ — Expect loose gravel and roadway patches on Parsonage Hill Road until at least spring, Millburn. On Monday, Millburn town officials announced that New Jersey American Water is conducting a water main replacement on Parsonage Hill Road and is replacing a 24-inch main with a 32-inch upgrade.
“This project will include new connections to each house, and existing lines will have to be reconnected,” Millburn officials stated.
Work will continue into the spring and will be conducted in small sections to minimize the roadway impact, officials said.

“Parsonage Hill Road will be cut and patched each day,” Millburn officials stated. “Use caution when driving as there will be loose gravel and roadway patches.”

According to town officials:
“Parsonage Hill Road will be closed between White Oak Ridge Road and Long Hill Drive. Emergency vehicles cannot pass during working hours. There will be a soft road closure at Parsonage Hill Road and Hartshorn Drive and another soft road closure at Parsonage Hill Road and Old Short Hills Road.”
Millburn officials continued:
“Vehicles attempting to travel south on Parsonage Hill Road at White Oak Ridge Road will be detoured onto White Oak Ridge Road eastbound where they will turn right onto Great Hills Road and up to Old Short Hills Road. Detoured vehicles will turn right onto Old Short Hills Road, which will bring them down to the Old Short Hills Road and Parsonage Hill Road Closure. The detour for Old Short Hills Road and Parsonage Hill Road is the same as the above from the opposite direction.”
The work is slated to take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., and is weather-dependent, officials said.
