Pedestrian Dies After Being Struck By Car In Millburn, Police Investigation Continues

The fatal crash took place at an intersection in North Jersey. The victim was identified as a Florida resident, police said.

MILLBURN, NJ -- A pedestrian died after being hit by a car in Millburn on Friday night, authorities say.

The fatal crash took place at 8:42 p.m. at the intersection of JFK Parkway and Fineran Way, according to a statement from the Essex County Prosecutor's Office and the Millburn Police Department.

Emergency responders transported the pedestrian to Overlook Hospital in Summit. He was pronounced deceased at 9:49 p.m.

Authorities identified the victim as Joseph Francis Andolino, 73, of North Palm Beach, Florida.

The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene, authorities said.
