Peter Biedermann Presents Tales of the Desert at Millburn Library

Peter Biedermann is a solo instrumental guitarist based in Green Valley, AZ who will be performing at Millburn Library on Sept 27 at 6:30pm.

Peter Biedermann is a solo instrumental guitarist based in Green Valley, AZ who has been composing and performing for over 40 years and will be appearing for the first time in the Millburn Free Public Library on Thursday, September 27. 2018 at 6:30pm. The common thread throughout his musical background is crossing the boundaries of music genres. This hybrid, contemporary style melds elements of American and European folk with jazz and blues shadings; underpinned by subtle ambient electronics. PB began focusing on performing original solo instrumentals beginning in 2000. The music is now being presented in intimate settings such as libraries, art galleries, house concerts, churches etc.

Mr. Biedermann will be focusing on pieces from his latest recording 'Tales From The Desert' on a variety of guitars in unique tunings. The program encourages questions from the audience and will also include some of the history and evolution of steel string guitar playing over the last 50+ years. Fans of fellow guitarists such as Michael Hedges, the British school (Bert Jansch, John Renbourn, Davy Graham), Alex de Grassi and Pierre Bensusan will enjoy this music.

CD's will be for sale after the performance. Please go to www.biedermannmusic.com for more information.
