Picnic And Events In Millburn This Weekend: Sign Up Here

MILLBURN, NJ — The Newcomers & Neighbors Club of Short Hills and Millburn is meant to make people feel welcome. They hold coffee meetups, playgroups, and other events.

But they weren't too fond of an uninvited guest two weeks ago when Tropical Storm Ian dumped rain on the area for four days.

It canceled the group's planned fall picnic. But it will be held this Saturday instead.

And so far, the weather looks fine. (Thursday, on the other hand, may be rough in Essex County. But Saturday looks fine.)

The events will run from 3-6 p.m. on Oct. 16.

They say: "Come join the Newcomers for a day of fun at the field near Christ Church Nursery School. We will have inflatables, food, games, entertainment with the Party Maniacs, crafts, and more!"

The event is $10 per person, but those 2 and under are free.
