Rising CEOs Finance Academy Launches At Millburn High School
Calling all future investment managers!

MILLBURN-SHORT HILLS, NJ - From Rising CEOs: There is a new camp in town called Rising CEOs Finance Academy, whose goal is to teach kids essential concepts in Finance. The finance camp, which debuts on August 21 st , 2017 in Millburn High School, aims to introduce kids, ages 9-14, to topics such as stocks markets, interest rates, taxes, and real estate, all in a fun, camp-like setting. Campers will participate in a mock stock market competition, engage in team-building and “networking” activities, and hear from prominent guest speakers across financial industries.
The co-founders of the camp have quite stellar backgrounds themselves. Mona Mahajan is an investment professional with over 15 years of experience in hedge funds and asset management, with an MBA from the Harvard Business School. Sheila Gupta is an MD cardiologist who also actively invests in real estate and equities. Both are committed to enhancing the financial skills and knowledge in young students.
According to Sheila, “The key is learning these financial concepts at a young age. Whether it’s the ability to manage a budget, or to decide on retirement assets, as we grow older, we realize that understanding some basic financial principles is a fundamental part of adulthood.”

Mona agrees, adding “We believe the Rising CEOs curriculum can really complement what the students
are learning in school, in a more practical and interesting approach. For example, the stock market game
we play emphasizes a lot of key concepts, including stock valuations, team work, and presentation
skills.”
The camp focuses on what they call “the three F’s”: Finance, Friendships, and Fun. For more information and how you can join the Rising CEOs mailing list, visit the website at www.risingceos.com.
