Rotary Clubs Welcome Youth Exchange Students

Local Rotary Clubs host students from abroad.

This is the time of year that Rotary Clubs throughout our region are celebrating the arrival of high school-age exchange students from the far corners of the globe. Several teenagers have arrived this month from foreign lands including Belgium, France, Germany, India, South Korea and Spain.

They are being sponsored and hosted by Rotary Clubs of communities in Essex, Morris, Sussex and Warren Counties. While they are here, they will attend high school in the area and live with up to three local families.

At the same time, several local youths have left for a year to live and study abroad as well. To be eligible for this life-altering program, a student must be between the ages of 15 and 18½ as of the program start date, be of good moral character, and a good student.
