Running Car Stolen From Millburn Driveway, Recovered Later
Someone stole a car left running in a Millburn driveway. It was found in another town.
MILLBURN, NJ — The Millburn police said that a resident's car was stolen when it was left for "a few minutes" in the driveway last week.
Millburn Police Officer Carroll responded to a Wordsworth Road residence at 7:57 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 6 on a report of theft of a vehicle.
The resident said the Mercedes GLS had been left running in the driveway when someone got in and drove away.

The key fob was not left in the vehicle, police said.
The vehicle was later recovered in Newark. The incident remains under investigation.

Car Burglarized
Two days later, another car was burglarized in Millburn when it was parked briefly.
On Dec. 8, 2022, at 12:10 a.m., Millburn Police Officer Aliotta responded to a Southern Slope Drive
residence on a report of burglary to a vehicle.
The owner of the vehicle said that while her car was parked for around 30 seconds, someone entered it and stole her Coach purse from the passenger seat. It contained $1,300 in cash, credit cards, and personal effects. Police are investigating.
