Shoes And Jacket Worth $5,980 Shoplifted From Short Hills Mall By Woodbridge Woman: Police

Two clothing items worth $5,980 were shoplifted from the Short Hills Mall, but Millburn police apprehended the suspect, from Woodbridge.

MILLBURN, NJ —A Woodbridge woman almost made off with a pricy clothing heist at the Short Hills Mall earlier this month, and it was just by carrying two items, police said.

On Oct. 7, at 2 p.m., Millburn Police Officers Larcom and Matos responded to Louis Vuitton
at the Mall at Short Hills for a report of theft.

Louis Vuitton associates reported that a 36-year-old woman had selected a tan jacket and pair of shoes valued at $5,980, and attempted to leave without paying.

The woman was placed under arrest and charged with shoplifting. She was later released on her own recognizance.
