Short Hills Mall's Easter Bunny Has A Cause (And Paws) This Year

MILLBURN, NJ — The Easter bunny will be hopping back into the Mall at Short Hills next week, and this year, there's also a special day for photos of your pet dog — with proceeds going to an animal rescue organization. As in past years, there's a separate day for kids with special needs.

Bunny Photos sponsored by The Inspired Garden will be held from April 1-April 16 from Monday through Friday. The hours are: Friday 11 a.m.-7 p.m.; Saturday 10 a.m. – 7 p.m.; Sunday, 11 a.m. – 6 p.m. on Sundays.

Bunny Photos will be held in Bloomingdale’s Court on the lower level, in a spring garden created especially for The Mall at Short Hills by The Inspired Garden.

All guests will also receive a complimentary gift from The Inspired Garden while all children will receive a complimentary sweet treat. Reservations are recommended and can be reserved online.

Dog Photos

For the first time this year, Bunny Paws Sponsored by Symbios Animal Health will run April 4 from 5-7 p.m. Dog parents can celebrate the spring season and have their dog’s photo taken with the Easter Bunny. The net proceeds from Santa Paws will benefit St. Hubert’s Animal Welfare Center of Madison, NJ.

All dogs must be up-to date on their vaccinations and must either be on a leash or carried in a lightweight, portable pet carrier with harness. Reservations for Bunny Paws are recommended and can be reserved online. Bunny Paws is sponsored by Symbios Animal Health.

Bunny Cares

Held on Sunday, April 3 from 10 a.m.-11:30 a.m., Bunny Cares is a sensory-bunny experience where individuals with all spectrums of special needs and their families are invited to a private photo session where extra care is taken to support the sensory, physical and other developmental needs.

Photo packages will be available for purchase. Bunny Cares is held in partnership with AutismSpeaks. Pre-registration is required.

Other Information

For Bunny Cares and Bunny Paws, customers should park in the Bloomingdale’s surface parking lot on the JFK Parkway side of the center, and enter by Bloomingdale’s and Primo Mercato.

Shopping hours are 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday. Department store and restaurant hours may vary.
