Short Hills Students Participate In Multi-Town Chess League

When you think C.H.E.S.S., think Short Hills.

Recently, Hartshorn Elementary School students in grades 1 to 5 participated in Hartshorn’s 4th Annual Chess Tournament for a spot on the 2015-16 Hartshorn Chess Team.

At the end of the tournament, the top 14 players formed the 2015-16 Hartshorn Chess Team, which will play other local schools throughout the year through the Challenging the Heads of Elementary School Students (C.H.E.S.S.) league.

Other members of the league include Millburn’s Deerfield Elementary, Glenwood Elementary, South Mountain Elementary and Wyoming Elementary and Summit’s Lincoln Hubbard Elementary School.
