Short Stories Class to be held at the Millburn Library
The Millburn Library will be presenting 7 free classes on American short stories this fall. This class will be taught by Dr. Andrea Green.

Do you miss the intellectual stimulation of a class, but don't want the pressure of exams? What if you could attend a free local class to discuss some of the great American works of literature?
The Millburn Free Public Library is pleased to offer a 7 class series on classic American short stories this fall. These classes will be taught by Dr. Andrea Green. Dr. Green is a nationally renowned playwright and educator who taught English at Union County College for over 40 years before her recent retirement. She is the recipient of a Critics Choice Award as well as many other writing awards. Dr. Green has a B.A. from the University of New Mexico, an M.A. from Seton Hall University, and an Ed.D. from Seton Hall University.
There will be no exams or written assignments.

It is recommended that participants plan to attend all classes and read the short stories before class time. This class will meet on the following days from 7-8:30pm on the following Wednesday nights:
- Sept 14: The Story of An Hour, Kate Chopin
- Sept 28: The Untold Lie, Sherwood Anderson
- Oct 12: The Cask of Amontillado, Edgar Allan Poe; A Rose for Emily, William Faulkner
- Oct 26: Sonny's Blues, James Baldwin; Hills like White Elephants, Ernest Hemingway
- Nov 9: How I Met My Husband, Alice Munro; In Trouble, Philip Roth
- Nov 30: Cathedral, Raymond Carver
- Dec 14, Year's End, Jhumpa Lahiri
