New this season Bread Share and Mushroom Shares!

2016 marks the ninth season of Farm & Fork Society, a local CSA (Community Supported Agriculture group). Serving residents of Millburn-Short Hills, Maplewood-South Orange, Summit, Livingston, West Orange and other surrounding neighborhoods, Farm & Fork Society offerings include vegetables, fruit, poultry, farm fresh eggs, pasta, cider mushrooms and bread. The seasonal produce comes directly from the farmer and pick-up is every Friday from une 10 through November 18 in the Wells-Fargo parking lot, downtown Millburn.

New for this season is a Bread Share from Bobolink Dairy and Bakehouse in Milford, NJ and Mushroom Share from The Foraged Feast (formerly Dining Wild) in Maplewood, NJ. Bobolink’s Wood Fired Rustic Breads are made from regionally-grown organic grains and other local ingredients. They are cold-risen using natural starters and baked in a wood-fired oven. In addition, the farm produces fine artisanal cheeses from the high-quality grass-fed milk. Members will have the opportunity to add other products from Bobolink Dairy (cheese/dairy) weekly via their website once the season starts. The Foraged Feast offers the highest quality wild foraged, cultivated wild mushrooms, and wild greens available. Full and half mushroom shares are available.

Early Bird pricing is back this year for all shares with the exception of mushrooms, bread and cider. Early bird contracts must be received by March 1. The final deadline for membership is May 1, 2016. Pricing, pick-up time and member commitment details can be found on the group’s website.

Farm & Fork Society is CSA, a community of individuals who pledge support to a farm operation providing mutual support and sharing the risks and benefits of food production. Members pledge in advance to cover the anticipated costs of the farm and in return, they receive shares in the farm’s bounty throughout the growing season. The group is invaluable to the farmer, providing him or her with the pre-production working capital necessary for a successful growing season.

Members of the Farm & Fork Society will be supporting Circle Brook Farm in Andover, NJ, Breezy Hill Orchard in Staatsburg, New York and Knoll Krest Farm, Clinton Corners, NY, The Forage Feast in Maplewood, NJ, and Bobolink Dairy & Bakehouse in Milford, NJ. Farm & Fork Society will also be offering beef/pork from River Bend Farm, maple and honey products from Green Mountain Maple Sugar Refinery Company and other supplemental shares throughout the season.

Farm & Fork Society is a 100% volunteer organization. The goal is to build a strong community within and around the farmer partners while providing healthy and seasonal food. Farm & Fork Society has a long-term focus and commitment to bringing the best locally grown, sustainable, fruits and vegetables to the families who have become members.
