Academy Students Attend Regional STEM Fair

Saint Rose of Lima Academy Students Attend Regional STEM Fair in Kearny, N.J.

Students from Saint Rose attended the regional Science Fair at the Archdiocesan Youth Center in Kearny on Saturday, April 6. They worked on their STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) projects for months under the guidance of Mrs. Gutierrez and Ms. Harrington. The project entailed identifying an environmental issue and developing a solution to the problem. Students in the 6th, 7th and 8th grades worked on their projects. The top three from the school were invited to attend the regional event in Kearny. The projects are described below.

* “Holly’s House” is a biodegradable, eco-friendly sanctuary for Sun Conure birds, which are an endangered species.
