Suspects Stole 92 Packs Of Batteries From Millburn ShopRite: Police

A pair of suspects made off with 92 packages of batteries during a shoplifting incident in Millburn, police say.

MILLBURN, NJ — A pair of suspects made off with 92 packages of batteries during a shoplifting incident in Millburn last week, police say.

According to the Millburn Police Department, an officer responded to the ShopRite on June 2 after receiving a report of a theft. Store personnel told the officer that a pair of male suspects concealed 92 packages of batteries in their jackets and left the store without making payment.

The batteries were valued at $386, police said.

Store personnel described the suspects as white males, one wearing a black jacket, Knicks shirt and black hat, and the other wearing a white hat, police said.
