Taking the Train to the Game from Millburn-Short Hills
NJ Transit gives options on how to get to the World Series games.

The road to the World Series goes through New Jersey, literally. And NJ Transit announced on Tuesday the services its offering for fans to get to the games in New York and Philadelphia.
NJ Transit set up two pages on its Web site to serve Yankees and Phillies fans. In a press release, NJ Transit officials stated the best way to get an itinerary for a trip is to use the Trip Planner feature on the Web site.
Millburn-Short Hills is served by two NJ Transit train stations. The Millburn station is on Essex Street near Lackawanna Place. The Short Hills station is off of Short Hills Avenue on Chatham Road.
Yankee Stadium is served by New York subway on the D and 4 subway lines. The subway fare is $2.25 each way.
Heading to the stadium by train to New York Penn Station, fans can connect to the D subway by walking one block east to 6th Avenue/Herald Square. Take the D train uptown to 161st Street/Yankee Stadium. From Penn Station, fans can also take the A or C train uptown to 59th Street/Columbus Circle for a connection to the D train.
If you're headed to Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia, there could be disruption of SEPTA service because of a strike deadline set by transit workers for 12:01 a.m. on Saturday.
Citizens Bank Park is served by SEPTA’s Broad Street Line, which costs $1.45 each way. It connects the stadium with Center City Philadelphia.

For fans traveling from New York or points north of Trenton in New Jersey, the fastest way to Philadelphia is Northeast Corridor service to Trenton Transit Center, which connects to SEPTA’s R7 Line. Take the R7 train to Suburban Station and connect to the Broad Street Line for service to the stadium.
Fans can purchase joint SEPTA/NJ Transit tickets at all NJ Transit rail ticket vending machines, rail ticket offices, at SEPTA ticket windows at Suburban and Market Street East stations and at SEPTA ticket vending machines at 30th Street Station. Customers can travel between New York and Philadelphia for as low as $18.75 each way, based on an off-peak round trip purchase.
