Theft, Drug Arrest In Millburn: Police

MILLBURN, NJ - A 30-year-old man and a 28-year-old man from the Bronx, NY, were charged with shoplifting and possession respectively after an incident with police on Aug. 21, according to authorities.

Millburn Police Officer Larcom responded to Bloomindale's on a theft report where personnel reported 30-year-old Shaylin Lewis concealed $326 worth of merchandise in a bag and left the store without making payment.

Lewis was stopped on Route 24 East in a 2017 Buick Encore with 28-year-old Keith McNeil I, police said. Lewis was placed under arrest and charged with shoplifting before being released on a summons, police said. McNeil was placed under arrest and charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance, marijuana, and released on a summons, police said.
