Thieves Steal $19K In Packages From Single Car At Short Hills Mall: PD

Thieves broke into two cars parked at the Mall at Short Hills and stole nearly $25,000 worth of goods, police said.

MILLBURN, NJ — Two Mall at Short Hills heists saw robbers steal nearly $25,000 worth of packages from two parked cars, police said.

The thieves first targeted a car parked at the The Mall at Short Hills' Orange Parking Deck on Nov. 19 about 6:55 p.m., Millburn Police said.

They broke a rear side window and stole packages worth about $19,375, police said.

The thieves struck again last Thursday about 2:10 p.m. inside Parking Lot J, said police.

Once again, the rear side window was broken and items — specifically a Chanel handbag, Chanel wallet and a bag of purchase — were stolen — police said.

The goods were valued at $5,570, the owner told police.

The Millburn Police Detective Bureau is investigating.
