Thunderstorms And Heavy Rain Possible For Millburn Friday: Find Out When, How Much
The National Weather Service says the area may get thunderstorms and up to an inch of rain Friday, about a fifth of what Ida dumped.

MILLBURN, NJ —Weather-wary Essex County residents may want to keep an eye on the forecast for Friday morning. The forecast calls for possible thunderstorms and "heavy rainfall" before 1 p.m., but there was no flood watch in effect for the area as of Thursday.

The prediction is that the area may get .75 inches to 1 inch of rain on Friday. For comparison's sake, parts of Essex County received 6 to 9 inches of rain quickly during Hurricane Ida in September.

Saturday: Partly sunny. A chance of showers in the afternoon. Highs around 60. Southwest
winds 10 to 15 mph. Gusts up to 25 mph in the afternoon. Chance of rain 30 percent.
Saturday Night: Partly cloudy in the evening, then becoming clear. Lows in the upper 30s.
