As Little Leaguers across the country pick up their bats for the first time, they are all taught the fundamentals of the proper batting stance. Knees flexed, weight on the balls of your feet, and toes pointing towards the other batter’s box. Then, bat back, elbow up, head level, load your back leg, and then unload with a nice level swing. But, certain Major Leaguers decided to ignore these recommendations entirely. Most have had success at the plate despite their odd appearance, and they rarely changed their stances….. so as the saying goes, “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.”
