MILLBURN TOWNSHIP (December 21, 2022)-- Millburn Township has completed the paving project on Short Hills Avenue, which included sanitary sewer line repairs and new ADA compliant curbing. The project began in early October of 2022 and was officially completed on Tuesday, December 20, 2022.

The entirety or Short Hills Ave. along with Station Plaza between Hobart Avenue and the Springfield Township border were included in the project. These improvements provide easier access to pedestrians as well as safer roads for motorists.

AJM Contractors, Inc. were the lead contractors on the project, which was funded in part through Department of Transportation (DOT) grants.

Additionally, the New Jersey American Water Company (NJAWC) Short Hills Ave. water main replacement project is anticipated to begin in early 2023. This will only affect the area of Short Hills Ave. that runs under the NJ Transit railroad tracks near Chatham Road and will not impact any of the completed paving. NJAWC will also be milling and paving this section of raod upon completion of the water main replacement project.
