Two Cars Stolen, 11 Burglarized In Millburn: Cops

A 2009 Audi A6 from Forest Drive, and a 2019 Honda Pilot from Minnisink Road were stolen last Saturday, according to police.

MILLBURN, NJ - Eleven cars were burglarized and two were stolen in one night of thefts, according to the Millburn Police Department.

On Saturday, police responded to residences on Addison Drive, Forest Drive, Bishops Lane, Slayton Drive, Long Hill Drive, Brantwood Terrace, Hartshorn Drive, and Hemlock Road on reports of burglaries to motor vehicles and two motor vehicle thefts that occurred overnight. The vehicles burglarized were: 2018 Chevrolet Suburban, 2017 lnfiniti QX6, 2014 Audi A4, 2012 Volkswagen Jetta, 2017 Chevrolet Tahoe, 2007 Lexus RX, 2017 Porsche Cayenne, 2014 Volkswagen Tigue, 2017 Audi Q7, 2011 Honda Pilot, and 2008 GMC Yukon. Nothing was reported missing from the vehicles. The vehicles stolen were a 2009 Audi A6 from Forest Drive, and a 2019 Honda Pilot from Minnisink Road. The incidents are under investigation by the Millburn Police Detective Bureau.

  • On Oct. 5, Millburn Police Officer Salemi responded to headquarters on a burglary to motor vehicle report. The victim reported between 12:15-12:30 p.m. someone entered her 2015 Volvo XC6 parked on Millburn Ave in the 500 block and took a bag containing two pieces of jewelry valued over $1,000. The incident is under investigation by the Millburn Police Detective Bureau.
  • On Oct. 10, Millburn Police Officer Crawn responded to the apartments at 224 Millburn Ave on a theft report. The victim reported between 12:46-4 p.m. someone took a package from her front steps that was delivered via UPS from Sephora with a value of $147.14. The incident is under investigation by the Millburn Police Detective Bureau.
  • On Oct. 8, Millburn Police Officer Catinella responded to an apartment building on Millburn Ave on a burglary report. The victim reported between Oct. 7 at 10:15 p.m. and Oct. 8 at 7:10 a.m. someone entered a garage and removed tools valued at $550. The incident is under investigation by the Millburn Police Detective Bureau.
  • On Oct. 15, 2018 a Joanna Way resident responded to headquarters to report the theft of his 2015 BMW XS from his driveway overnight. Detectives Derosa, Delgado, and Officer Manuyag responded to
  • Newark and found the vehicle parked on Johnson Ave. Asad Majors, age 25 of Newark, attempted to drive the vehicle and was placed under arrest and charged with theft, police said. Majors was remanded to the Essex County Correctional Facility, police said.
  • On Oct. 19, Millburn Police Officer Smeraldo responded to a Hobart Avenue residence on a theft report. The resident reported at approximately 9:30 p.m. someone took two packages from his front porch containing a phone and body lotion valued at $330. The incident is under investigation by the Millburn Police Detective Bureau.
  • On Oct 27, 2018 Millburn Police Officer Lanni responded to headquarters on a theft report. A Maplewood resident reported between 3-4 p.m. someone took her wallet from her shopping cart at Trader Joe's on Millburn Ave. The victim reported one of her credit cards had already been used fraudulently for a purchase in Union totaling $2825.55. The incident is under investigation by the Millburn Police Detective Bureau.
