Vigil Planned In Millburn For Victims In Attacks In Israel

A vigil has been planned in Millburn for victims of the terrorist attacks in Israel.

MILLBURN, NJ — A candlelight vigil is being organized in Millburn to memorialize victims of the attacks in Israel.

The town said in a message: "The Township of Millburn invites residents to a candlelight vigil to mourn the victims of the terrorist attacks on Israel. The vigil is to be held on Thursday, Oct. 12 at 7 p.m. outside Town Hall, on Town Hall Plaza. There will be candles available, or you can bring your own."

On Saturday, the militant group Hamas killed 700 Israelis, including children, and kidnapped hundreds of others off the street. Among those killed were more than 200 attending a music festival, according to international media reports. Saturday was the bloodiest day in Israel since the Yom Kippur war 50 years ago, the BBC reported.
