Wanted Man Arrested In Millburn After Cops Find Sword, Knives In Car
Millburn police found a katana-style sword and two daggers in the vehicle. The driver had an active warrant out of Montclair.
ESSEX COUNTY, NJ — Millburn police arrested a Newark man who had a warrant out of Montclair during a traffic stop on Wednesday, authorities said.
According to the Millburn Police Department, an officer stopped a Honda Accord on Fineran Way after observing a motor vehicle violation, which was not specified in an initial statement.
A records check of the driver, Abijahn Johnson, 40, of Newark, revealed an active warrant out of Montclair for an assault and unlawful possession of a knife, Millburn police said.

Police arrested Johnson and searched the vehicle, finding a large, katana-style sword and two black, metal daggers.
Johnson was charged on the outstanding warrant and additionally charged with possession of dangerous knives and possession of weapons by a certain person prohibited from possessing weapons.

Johnson, who has prior felony convictions on his record, was transported to the Essex County Correctional Facility in Newark, police said.
