Winston School of Short Hills Hosts Children's Author Peter Lerangis
Popular author Peter Lerangis visits the Winston School in Short Hills for a reading of his New York Times best selling series The 39 Clues.

The Winston School of Short Hills hosted young-adult author Peter Lerangis on Wednesday, Oct. 1. Lerangis is best known for his popular Seven Wonder Series. Prior to Lerangis’ visit, Winston’s 7th and 8th grade classes read The Colossus Rises and 5th and 6th grades read a Lerangis’ title from the New York Times best-selling The 39 Clues series. After lively discussions in classes about the books, it was a real treat to meet the author in person.
Lerangis captivated the students with his personal story of how he became a three-time New York Times best-selling author and what it takes to bring an idea all the way through to a published work. Students in small class settings explored with Lerangis his current works and even offered suggestions for future titles and character development. Winston frequently hosts guest speakers and performers through The Winston Speaker Series and Parent Association Cultural Arts Fund.
