Winter Concert At Millburn High School Wednesday

Cantica Nova will perform Mozart's Hosanna in Excelsis Deo among others.

MILLBURN, NJ - The Music Department of Millburn High School will present its annual Winter Chorus and Orchestra Concert on at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday in the high school auditorium.

This concert is free and open to the public. Ensembles are under the direction of Director of Orchestra Flora Yousefi and Director of Choirs Jessica Peirce.

Cantica Nova will perform Mozart’s Hosanna in Excelsis Deo, an arrangement of Buffalo Gals by Bob Chilcott, and a rendition of Jingle Bells by John Leavitt. The Chamber String Orchestra will perform a movement from Benjamin Britten’s Simple Symphony. The Symphony Orchestra will perform Brahms’ Academic Festival Overture, Haydn’s Symphony No. 45, and Dvorak’s Finale Quartet in F Major. The Miller Chorus, will perform pieces by Tchaikovsky, Houston Bright, Ernst Toch, and an arrangement of Down by the Riverside by John Rutter. The concert will conclude with a combined Chorus and Orchestra performance of Vivaldi’s Gloria.
