• 3 Jersey Shore beaches set for major replenishment, but not until after summer (nj.com subscription) — Monmouth Beach’s shoreline is set for a major U.S. Army Corps sand replenishment project this fall, targeting heavily eroded stretches between the Monmouth Beach Bathing Pavilion and the Bath and Tennis Club. Work, also covering Sea Bright and Long Branch, will run through March with $37 million in federal funding, aiming to restore beaches and bolster storm protection for local coastal communities.
