2 Montclair Businesses See Break-Ins: Pharmacy, Local Salon
A pair of Montclair businesses – a pharmacy and a local salon – have reported recent break-ins, police say.

MONTCLAIR, NJ — A pair of Montclair businesses – a pharmacy and a local salon – have reported recent break-ins, police say.
According to the Montclair Police Department, on Oct. 14, a person forced their way into the pharmacy section of the CVS on Claremont Avenue, which was closed at the time.
The suspect stole several bottles of cough medicine, gaining access to the drugs by forcing open a portion of the countertop, police said.

The main floor of the CVS was open for business at the time of the theft, police stated.

On Oct. 9, the Gumdrop Hairdressing salon on Church Street reported an attempted burglary, according to Montclair police.
Police said that an employee that was inside the business after closing heard a rear window being opened. The worker then saw three juveniles flee the area on foot.
The juveniles didn’t manage to gain access to the building, police said.
