3 Montclair Schools Placed On Lockdown After Car Chase: Report

Montclair officials placed 3 schools on lockdown after a police car chase took place in the southern part of town, a report says.

MONTCLAIR, NJ — Montclair officials placed three local schools on precautionary lockdown after a police car chase took place in the southern part of town, a report says.

The temporary lockdown affected Nishuane, Charles H. Bullock and Glenfield Middle School, a police spokesperson told Montclair Local. No visitors were allowed during the lockdown, which took place because there were reports of an armed person on foot in the area. (Read the full report here)

No injuries were reported during the police chase, which started in West Orange and involved a white four-door sedan, authorities said.
