9 Montclair Vehicles Illegally Entered Over 4-Day Period: Police

Montclair vehicle owners reported incidents on Mission, William, Lloyd, Greenwood, Oxford, Forest, Pleasant, High and N. Willow.

MONTCLAIR, NJ — Montclair police say that nine local residents reported that someone rifled through their vehicles over a four-day period earlier this month. Several of the cars were left unlocked, authorities said.

According to the Montclair Police Department, the following incidents were recently reported in the township:

  • June 14 (Mission St) - A wallet was removed from an unlocked motor vehicle.
  • June 15 (William St) - A wallet was removed from an unlocked motor vehicle.
  • June 15 (Lloyd Rd) - A vehicle was entered and cash was removed. It is unknown if the vehicle was left unlocked.
  • June 17 (Greenwood Ave) - Two unlocked motor vehicles were entered and rummaged through. Cash was removed.
  • June 17 (Oxford St) - Three vehicles were entered. A backpack, cell phone, and cash were taken.
  • June 17 (Forest St) - An unlocked vehicle was entered. An Amazon gift card was removed.
  • June 17 (Pleasant Ave) - An unlocked motor vehicle was entered. Change and charging cords were removed.
  • June 17 (High Street) - Two unlocked vehicles were entered and rummaged through.
  • June 17 (N. Willow St) - An unlocked motor vehicle was entered and rummaged through.
