MONTCLAIR, NJ — The following news release comes courtesy of the Montclair Public Library. Find out how to post announcements or events to your local Patch site.
The Montclair Public Library and the Montclair Public Library Foundation are inviting local residents to declutter their bookshelves and support the library through its upcoming Book Drive and Book Sale fundraiser.
The library will accept gently used books, audiobooks, CDs, DVDs and Blu-rays during its Book Drive from October 11 to 12. Donated items will be sorted and sold at the Book Sale, scheduled for October 22 to 24, with all proceeds directly funding library initiatives including programming, summer reading, and hot spots.
"Books have a wonderful way of bringing people together, and this event brings together everything we love about our Library community—generosity, discovery, and a shared love of reading," said Mary Packer, Executive Director of the Montclair Public Library Foundation. "We hope the community will join us by donating books, volunteering, and coming out to shop the sale."
