Celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Montclair Literary Festival, a vibrant showcase of books, ideas and community running from Saturday May 2 through to Monday May 11, 2026!
Featured authors include Tom Perrotta, Eugene Robinson, Xochitl Gonzalez, Adriana Trigiani, Maria Semple, Christina Baker Kline and Colm Tóibín. Plus Joyce Carol Oates, Pitchapalooza, Francine Prose, and more!
Across two full day of events, you'll find conversations on artificial intelligence, politics, French cooking, music history, biography, debut fiction, and poetry. With over 60 authors in 34 events, there is something for everyone to enjoy.
In addition on May 9, Montclair State University is hosting Express Yourself!, a day of hands-on workshops and creative exploration in writing, visual art, music, dance, photography and theater.
The majority of events are FREE and open to all - no registration required, making it easy to drop in and be inspired.
