A vehicle struck a 64-year-old woman crossing the street on the Montclair State University campus, authorities said.

A vehicle struck a 64-year-old woman crossing the street on the Montclair State University campus on Thursday night, authorities stated.
A spokesman for the Montclair State University Police Department said that the incident took place around 6:40 p.m. on Normal Avenue, The Montclarion reported.
Montclair State University EMS arrived shortly and cared for the woman, who complained of back and hip pain, the spokesman told The Montclarion.

The driver remained at the scene of the crash, authorities stated.
The woman was transported to St. Joseph’s Hospital; police are investigating the cause of the incident, reports said.
