Car Strikes Pedestrian In Essex County, Leaves Scene: Police

A vehicle struck a pedestrian in Essex County, possibly in view of several commuters and pedestrians, police say. Did you see it happen?

ESSEX COUNTY, NJ — A vehicle struck a pedestrian in Glen Ridge on Friday evening, possibly in view of several commuters and pedestrians. The driver then left the scene of the crash, authorities say.

According to the Glen Ridge Police Department, the crash took place at Ridgewood Avenue and Snowden Place around 7:10 p.m. Video obtained from the area shows several commuters and pedestrians in the area at the time of the incident who may witnessed the incident.
