Cash, Jewelry Taken From 2 Montclair Businesses: Police

A pair of Montclair businesses on Bloomfield Avenue experienced a burglary and a theft, authorities said.

MONTCLAIR, NJ — A pair of Montclair businesses on Bloomfield Avenue recently experienced a burglary and a theft, authorities said.

According to the Montclair Police Department, the Greek Taverna lost $400 during a burglary on July 17. Gold Land Jewelers lost two gold chains worth $4,850 on July 21.

  • 7-17-2018 (Greek Taverna, Bloomfield Avenue) – “Burglary to a commercial establishment. A cash drawer containing approximately $400 cash was taken in this incident. No sign of forced entry.”
  • 7-21-2018 (Gold Land Jewelers, Bloomfield Avenue) – “Theft of two gold chains from a display case totaling approximately $4,850.”
