CreativeMornings Launches First-Ever New Jersey Chapter in Montclair
Free global breakfast lecture series arrives at Lackawanna Station
CreativeMornings, the world’s largest face-to-face creative community, is coming to New Jersey for the first time - and Montclair is home to its newest chapter.
Hosted at Lackawanna Station and powered by RecRoom, CreativeMornings Montclair will kick off its free, monthly event series on Friday, August 22. The inaugural gathering will feature Rasheed Daniel as its first speaker, a celebrated Montclair-based showrunner, executive producer, and founder of TeamSheed Productions - an independent, Black-owned company committed to increasing inclusion in television.
CreativeMornings is a free breakfast lecture series designed for the creative community - a space for connection, inspiration, and coffee-fueled conversation. With over 250 chapters in 70+ countries, each city’s event features a local speaker, a shared global theme, and an open invitation to anyone who identifies as creative - however they define it.

“Montclair is overflowing with creative talent - from filmmakers and authors to musicians, actors, writers and more,” said Michelle Ward, host of CreativeMornings Montclair and co-founder of RecRoom. “We have festivals for everything, but we haven’t had a consistent, welcoming space to bring everyone together. That’s what CreativeMornings gives us - and I’m thrilled we finally get to bring it to Jersey.”
Each event is free and open to the public, with coffee and breakfast provided. Doors open at 9:30 AM, with the program beginning at 10:00 AM and wrapping by 11:00 AM.
