Emergency Drill At Montclair Train Station: Cops, Fire, EMS

The Saturday, Nov. 18 emergency drill will include a heavy police, fire and EMS presence, Montclair authorities said.

MONTCLAIR, NJ — If you see a heavy police, fire and EMS presence at the Upper Montclair train station from 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Nov. 18, there’s no need to worry. It’s just an “emergency incident drill” designed to help emergency responders test their reflexes and training, authorities say.

According to a Thursday municipal news release, the NJ Transit Police Department, together with the Montclair Office of Emergency Management, will conduct an emergency incident drill at the Upper Montclair train station on Saturday, Nov. 18, from 8 a.m. to noon.

The exercise will gauge responses to a simulated transit incident, Montclair town officials stated.
