Amanti Vino Hosts Spanish/South American Portfolio Tasting

It may still be 80 degrees out there ... but Proprietor Sharon Sevrens and the Amanti Vino team are launching a slate of exciting events to kick off Fall with a pop!
Here's a preview of what's in store:

September is California Wine Month
"California wines cross all price points and styles, from Zinfandel -- which is found nowhere else in the world -- to gorgeous old varietals being relaunched by artisanal growers," notes Sevrens, a sommelier and highly regarded wine educator. This month, Amanti Vino is highlighting the best of California right on Church Street.

Over the next two Saturdays (9/15 and 9/22) beginning at 2:00 pm, guests may come in for free tastings of selections from two of Cali's most popular American Viticultural Areas (AVA's).  From Napa Valley AVA: Norton Ridge Chardonnay 2010; Abrente Albarino 2011; Green and Red Chiles Canyon Zinfandel 2009; and Mayacamas Merlot 2005.  From Los Carneros AVA:  Mahoney Vermentino 2011; Johnson Family Pinot Noir 2010; and Sinskey Aries Pinot Noir 2009.

October 9:  Spanish/South American Portfolio Tasting to Benefit the Montclair International Film Festival Amanti Vino's French Portfolio Tasting--and the MFF itself--was such a huge success that the shop is partnering again with T. Edward Wines, this time to bring a group of Spanish, Chilean, and Argentinian winemakers to Montclair.  Warm and hard-working, these vintners practice biodynamic and organic farming in their growing and production. As before, a portion of ticket sales will benefit the 2nd Annual Film Festival, to be held in Spring 2013.

When: Tuesday, October 9, 7:30-9:30 pm
Where: Bangz Salon and Wellness Spa, 23 South Fullerton Avenue, Montclair, NJ
Cost: $75 pp [WSET students receive 10% discount]
Tickets:  Email deb@amantivino.com or call the shop at 973.509.WINE

For a preview of the big night, guests may stop by the shop's Tasting Bar on 9/29 when the staff will be serving Spanish wines and lovingly curated cheeses from Artisanal Premium Cheese, now available in-store.
