Amanti Vino Hosts Historic Gathering of 35 French Winemakers

On Tuesday, April 3, Amanti Vino, the boutique wine and spirits shop on Church Street, will host an historic gathering of 35 French Grower/Winemakers presenting the fruits of their labor and 150+ wines at Montclair's -- and likely New Jersey's! --  first French Portfolio Tasting.

The unique occasion? A benefit for the first annual Montclair Film Festival, which runs May 1-6 ~ and a rare opportunity for consumers (and not just wine industry insiders!) to attend such a gathering.

These are real farmers and their estate-bottles wines; no large co-ops here!  Burgundy, the Rhone Valley, the Loire Valley, Bordeaux and more ... all important regions will be represented.

The winemakers attending include:

  • Jean Michel Gaunoux/Meursault
  • Chantal Tortochot/Gevrey Cahmbertin
  • Jean Paul Daumen/Vielle Julienne (Chateauneuf-du-Pape)
  • Yves Cuilleron/les Vins de Vienne (Rhone Valley)
  • Romain & Damien Bouchard/DRB (Chablis)
  • Jean-Max Manceau/Domaine de Noire (Chinon)

A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Montclair Film Festival, which will announce its lineup at the event.  As a bonus, ticketholders will be entered into a drawing for two tickets to the festival.

LOCATION: The Vault at Bangz Salon + Spa, 23 South Fullerton Avenue, Montclair
