Affinage Cheese Shop, located next to Calandra’s Bakery at Calandra’s Plaza in Fairfield, will host a Meet the Cheese Maker and Cheese Tasting event on Thursday, September 22 at 7pm. Adeline Druart is a food scientist who specializes in cheese and is the General Manager of Vermont Butter and Cheese Creamery. Druart, a native of France, will be speaking about the history of the creamery’s goat farms and the process of making their delectable goat cheese. La Coupole, Bonne Bouche, Bijou and other goat cheeses will be presented and paired.
The tasting costs $10 per person and can be put towards a cheese purchase at the event.
