Acquaintances stated that she was supposed to be meeting friends on campus on Thursday night, NBC Philadelphia reported.
Because of upper-body injuries that Semioli sustained in the incident, authorities believe that she was struck by either a truck or a SUV which may now have damage on its right side, a friend of the family told NorthJersey.com.
As of Sunday, Semioli remained in a coma at St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center in Paterson, the Cliffview Pilot reported.
Anyone with information about the accident can contact the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office at 862-849-6019.
