Group Of Teens Got ‘Abusive’ At Montclair Dunkin’ Donuts: Police

A group of teens wanted free donuts. They weren't wearing masks. They were asked to leave. And that's when things got "abusive," police say.

MONTCLAIR, NJ — A group of teens wanted free donuts. They weren’t wearing masks. They were asked to leave.

And that’s when things got “abusive,” Montclair police said.

According to the Montclair Police Department, the fracas took place at a Dunkin’ Donuts on Bloomfield Avenue on Aug. 26.

The manager told officers that an “unruly” group of six or seven female juveniles – none of whom were wearing face masks – walked into the store and asked for free donuts. When the group was asked to leave, they allegedly became “abusive,” police said.

According to the MPD, here’s what happened next:

“One female assaulted the manager while another attempted to get behind the counter. Two customers observed the altercation and attempted to intervene. The females reportedly attacked the customers before fleeing towards Church Street.”

Nobody was injured, police said.
