Happy Ending for Abused Pit Bull Found in Montclair
The emaciated dog was adopted to unknown guardians more than a year ago.

An abused pit bull named Whiskey met a happy ending after being brought into the Montclair Animal Shelter last week.
According to the shelter, a Montclair Police Department officer found the “emaciated” dog in the middle of traffic. The dog promptly sat on command when the officer requested, which allowed him to pick the animal up and place him in his patrol car.
The dog turned out to be microchipped, which allowed staff to locate his former guardian, a resident who has “tried to find homeless pets responsible homes for years.”
