MONTCLAIR, NJ — There have been some big changes to voting districts in Essex County over the past year. And if you’re feeling a bit lost, an upcoming virtual workshop can help you get your bearings back before the next election, organizers say.

According to a news release from the League of Women Voters of the Montclair Area:

“Do you want to know what the 2023 changes are to state legislative districts in your town as a result of the 2020 census? Phillip Hensley, a democracy policy analyst from the League of Women Voters NJ will discuss this topic on March 29, 2023 at 7 p.m. via Zoom. Mr. Hensley led the NJ Fair District coalition, an alliance of nonpartisan groups fighting for impartial, transparent, community-driven and fair redistricting (see https://www.fairdistrictsnj.org). There are changes being implemented in Essex County legislative districts. Join us to find out how your district might be changing, so you’re informed going into this year’s elections, where the entire New Jersey statehouse will be up for re-election.”
