With 60,000 Lego building blocks at their disposal, Montclair families had a ball on Sunday at the Montclair Art Museum as they constructed their Township out of what at least one survey deemed to be the most popular toy ever manufactured.
Indeed, some 100 families participated in the program that's been running for seven years.
The program is so popular that the Museum quickly sold out its 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. time slot and so had to add a second time slot from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday.

And even then, there were more than 40 families on the waiting list.
Each family was given a photograph of a specific building in Montclair and then was asked to turn it into a Lego model. The models were then placed on a 30 x 20 foot map of downtown Montclair. The program cost $30 per family and was suitable for all ages.
