The Montclair Public Library will soon have a collection of gadgets, tools, games, kits, electronics and more for people to borrow.

MONTCLAIR, NJ — A “Library of Things” is coming to Montclair.

According to the Montclair Public Library, a new collection is set to debut on April 24: its Library of Things.

What’s the deal? It’s pretty simple, staff say:

“The Library of Things is a collection of non-traditional materials including gadgets, tools, games, kits, electronics, and more — all available to check out for free with a library card. Need something for a one-time project or want to try before you buy? Check it out from the Library of Things!”

Montclair residents who have a unique tool or machine or other “thing” in good working condition that they would like to donate can send a photo and brief description to info@montclairplf.org. People can also help out by buying something from the library’s wish list at Amazon or Walmart, or by donating here (write “Library of Things” in the additional comments section).
