Montclair Blood Drive Will Help Remedy ‘Critical Shortfall’ In NJ

MONTCLAIR, NJ — Want to help the American Red Cross soften the blow of a recent blood donation dip that’s left them with a “critical shortfall?” Here’s your chance, Montclair.
On Tuesday, the Red Cross announced that the severe winter weather and seasonal flu outbreak has caused a "critical" shortfall of blood donations in New Jersey and Pennsylvania, prompting the American Red Cross to reissue an "urgent call for blood and platelet donors."

In response, the Red Cross is holding blood drives across New Jersey, including two in Montclair:

- Thursday, Feb. 8: 1:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m., Central Presbyterian Church, 46 Park St.
- Monday, Feb. 12: 12:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m., Montclair State University, Student Center, 1 Normal Ave.
