In Montclair: Brother and Sister Felines Reunited

Montclair Animal Shelter manages to adopt out sibling pair of cats together.

It’s not always easy to adopt out siblings at an animal shelter.

This caveat makes it all the more rewarding when pets who have formed a bond manage to stay together.

Recently, staff members at the Montclair Animal Shelter announced that they adopted out one such pair, sibling felines Cintrine and Jasper.

According to a recent social media post from the shelter:

“Eddy and Alana fell in love with Cintrine and Jasper (now Sean) but Cintrine already had a pending adoption application so they took Jasper home yesterday. When Cintrine’s (now Mew) adoption fell through, they rushed back today to adopt her and the siblings are now happily reunited!”

Adopting animals that have formed connections – known in the animal care world as “bonded pairs” – is significantly harder to accomplish, according to a recent Montclair Times report.
